Our actions make the difference

A furnishing product goes through different phases, from the moment it is created to the moment when the customer no longer needs it. The combination of these phases constitutes the life cycle of a product. In Bauhaus Re-edition we try to be very attentive to the environment and for this we have also established with our. suppliers a code of conduct that, if respected, improves the quality of the environment in which we live.

EFFICIENT TRANSPORT OF THE GOODS AND USE OF RECYCLED PAPER PACKAGES

The goods are transported by truck, ship or train from our company to our customers and for this we are responsible for CO2 emissions that increase environmental pollution. Since unfortunately we can not do without it, but we are careful to optimize shipments trying as much as possible to send with a single load as much merchandise as possible.
+ seals shipments, + CO2 emissions. + cumulative shipments, - CO2 emissions.
All this is also possible using packages with reduced dimensions to the maximum that allow to optimize the loads and require less means of transport, thus reducing the emissions of carbon dioxide. The use of recyclable packaging, which requires a reduced use of raw materials, also helps. Brown cardboard is one of our best friends: it saves costs and respects the environment.

WOOD

We do not accept illegally cut wood or from intact natural forests. All wood suppliers of the Bauhaus re-edition must document the provenance of the wood they use. Wood is an excellent material from a qualitative and environmental point of view, provided it is legally produced and comes from responsibly managed forests.

RECYCLE

The Bauhaus Re-edition and its suppliers, respecting the latest regulations in terms of waste recycling, apply with the greatest possible attention the separate waste collection that covers at least 80% of the waste produced.

LESS CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES IN THE MATERIALS USED

The Bauhaus Re-edition products must not contain hazardous substances and for this reason we always try to minimize the use of chemicals.

THE MINIMUM POSSIBLE QUANTITY OF FORMALDEHYDE

Formaldehyde is a common chemical compound, present for example in water, fruit and wood, but it can also be added through industrial processes. We want the formaldehyde emission levels in Bauhaus Re-edition wood products to be the same as natural wood.
This is why we have eliminated formaldehyde-based paints from our products and have banned formaldehyde from the bonding systems used to apply veneered surfaces to furniture.

WATER-BASED PAINTS FOR WOOD FOR INTERIORS

An ecological trend has grown, attentive to the health of the operators and final customers, who want the furniture painted in an eco-compatible manner, and therefore with the lowest possible solvent emission, both during the painting phase and during the final part, slow, of product drying, which takes place in homes.
As manufacturers of manufactured products will have to use chipboard and MDF bases with low formaldehyde content, the painters will have to use products that contain the minimum of harmful substances, in order to ensure respect for the environment. For which we try to use, for many of our furnishings, one of the latest techniques with the lowest environmental impact that is the use of water-based paints.

LEATHER AND FABRICS

In order to minimize the environmental impact of leather processing, we try to use leather as much as possible, which is water based and which significantly reduces the use of chemicals that are harmful to the environment.
Our fabrics are natural, 100% cotton, linen-cotton or virgin wool, all processed and treated in compliance with the latest environmental regulations. Like the cashmere (100% virgin wool) of the Gabriel company that has obtained eco-compatibility certifications.

In Bauhaus Re-edition we try as much as possible to pay attention to the environment in which we live to guarantee our children a cleaner future.
