Renč Herbst (1891-1983)

He was born in Paris where he completed his studies; in 1908 he begins to collaborate with various architecturals studios, first in Paris, and then in London and Francfurt.

In 1921 he mades his the but at the "Saloons d'Automne" where he presents "A Restful Corner" at the musèe the Crillon.

Afterwards in addition to exibiting is innovative furniture made of metal tubing the various "saloons", he realized numerous architectural projects: cinema, decoration of shop, restaurants, officies, and galleries.

In 1919 Herbst proceeds along the road of modern design occupying himself with metal furniture window displace and indoor lightning.

Has far as is designs for metal forniture are concerned, in 1920 we can recognized his complete maturation in the rigorous and functional design of is nickel "Plated Metal Model".
